From Bust A Change, here’s a video of another futuristic technology->reality, one that really begs the question: is this the best there is? Or has the military been developing these kind of drone for espionage purposes and kept them closely to its chest for a while now? Not that its really possible to figure out. I had read about something like this in Ultimate Fantastic Four, but I had instinctually considered it to be a bit out of the league of the currently possible. I suppose I guessed wrong; while the strength and deadliness of those particular drones were a bit stronger than what’s on display here, they’re obviously firmly within the realm of the possible.
Cyberpunk seems closer to reality every day – I’m especially thinking Neal Stephenson. Not the technology specifics, exactly, as much as the general level of development. And hey! The US economy is on what appears to be an irreversible road to ruin! Maybe we will split into corporate fiefdoms after all, and have the Cosa Nostra deliver pizzas without needing to appear legitimate.

Hey Sam, thanks for the mention. I think the scariest part about seeing this thing is that we immediately think that it’s possible our government would use them against us.
Can you imagine in the cold war being worried about our own state using warheads on our own cities and people?
This is such a different world we are living in, especially when it comes to personal privacy.
